Sill protectors

Featured Replies

Anyone got the ones from the brochure or any other alternative? Was wondering what the quality and fit was like since my drivers side sill is already massively scratched (not by me I hasten to add, must've suffered careless people test driving when on demonstrator duty)

Never had a car scuff/scratch on the sills before but I guess it must be a common issue if they sell protectors! Don't want anything that looks 'bling' or tacky

Got the Skoda dealer-fit sill protectors, good quality, not at all "bling" and based on my experience highly recommended

Ta for that. Just been to look at the car having looked at the brochure again and realised that actually the protectors won't cover the bit that is scuffed...... between the rubber door seal and the outside there are 3 ridges in the sill. The protector only covers the one nearest the seal, it is the 2nd Ridge that is scuffed. Wondered if they'd been standing on it to clean the roof or something stupid like that.

Just done exactly the same! Spotted a fairly deep but small gouge in drivers sill after my first thorough clean of the car, can't see how any footwear could do it but thought "maybe get the sill protectors", but the mark is also further out than the sill protectors in the brochure go. Shame, but out of site most of the time.

I am having a set dealer fitted when my car arrives with them & only just noticed they only cover the top sill.  I fitted a set to my present Octy and the kit included 2 pieces for each door & to be honest on the driver's side I have caught both of them - but easily covered with back to black. Looks like the new ones only have 1 piece per door, which is a shame.
