LED DRL supplier

Featured Replies

Looking to switch out the halogen ones on my mk2 Octavia and am after some natural white led's to replace. Anyone got a good place to start? A part number would be useful too. I'm not looking for the strip ones btw!

Are you talking about the fogs as DRLs or sidelight type in the headlight cluster? If you are using fogs then you can use the factory LED ones from the Fabia. As for sidelight DRLs check around for canbus friendly bulbs as the will throw up a bulb out warning if not.

The one next to the fog lights, as seen here. The weak yellow colour is what bugs me. Stole this pic from another thread on the forum btw.

thats not a halogen bulb, thats just a std buld like fitted to the rear lights. have a look at the after market for led replacement bulbs, word of warning you may get bulb errors onn the dash if you change them.

I have VCDS so I can fiddle the errors. Where would be a good place to get some led replacement bulbs from? and do I need to consider anything like luminosity or whatever?

many talk about the new CREE bulbs

As for the error, I don´t think it will eliminate but then again never tried these

Hi The BA15s will throw up an error. I just tried them last night and they constantly threw up an error even after clearing them with VCDS. However, if you reduce the power to 6% it will work without an error but at the expense of the brightness.

Looking at 30W 1156 382 LEDs from Car Shop mod. Will update the thread and let you know how it goes.
