anybody got a idea how will tow bar will cost for the octavia estate  and fitted to just to give a idea

For a fixed towbar, twin electrics, plug in wiring kit, Cambus fiddling (deactivate parking sensors and fog light), extra wire run from battery to back socket for fridge I paid £400 at a specialist independent. No issues since.

For anyone who can get to Barnsley via M1;

thanks for the info web ferret do you tow a caravan your self

I paid 320 for a Witter detachable and single electrics fitted, wouldn't know my car had one when the tow ball is removed

£320 is good value for a detachable towbar, I paid £380 2 years ago for a swan neck with twin 7 pin electrics and coding at Phil Taylor towbars at Horndean.

Bripete, is that for and Octavia 2 then? Octavia 3 towbars are still in development, Wesfalia reckon they will start production in August and have supplies in stockists by the end of that month.

There are quite a few independent specialists around who will do a good job and bigger companies like towbar express.

I've just had a basic one fitted and it cost £250, but it's the simple permanent flangeball type.  No issues though, I only use it for a bike carrier
