When removing the inner door skin I guess its just a matter of drilling out the rivets and replacing them when you re-fit it?

 

Does it hold anything to do with the windows or is it just a matter of removing it once the rivets are drilled out?

The window and regulator is part of the skin  so the window has to be disconnected.

In what way disconnected?

Take the bungs out of the carrier and knock the plastic retaining pegs through so the window can be lifted up/out.

So really the window is attached to the inner skin via the reg so without it the window wont stay in place on its own?

No I don't have any diagrams or pictures, it's all in my head.

You won't be able to get the skin off with the window in place, they are joined together.
