lowered my vrs

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

New to this and heres my first problem!

Lowered my fabia vrs today, and now when i accelerate hard it will go straight then suddenly shoot sharply left? Any ideas?

Id recheck all your bolts are done up. Does it pull when you let off the accelerator?

40-50mm

Welcome to the forum.

The Fabia 1 section would have been good to get your question spotted by lots of Fabia 1 owners.

What springs have you fitted?  Were they New Springs & were they 'Handed' or not?

Is that the complete story then,

Car was running fine, all was good, tyres, steering etc, all standard & now you fitted New Lowering Springs.

Sounds like the usual worn balljoint trait, but if everything was fine before you lowered it i'd go back round it with a spanner & make sure everything is tight.

Had them off my friend who has just had air suspension on his fabia! He had thrm on for 3 months and now in my possesion! I will go on a tightening mission with a spanner and see what happens then! Cheers folks!

Im intetrested to know how this turns out, as mine is dropped on coilovers and does the same thing. .

It seems to be a characteristic brought on by dropping a Fabia really low, quite a few have had it but not all.

Mine certainly torque steered a lot more since lowering, I've raised them a little and it has improved but it's still there. After 3 proper alignment adjustments it's still not dialled out :(

Verdict?

I had mines as low as it would go on fk coilovers for over a year and all was good (apart from wishbone bushes). Then one of my shockys burst so trying out ta technix but it feels so diffrent to drive. Uncomfortable now.anyone running joms? Ive heard they arent 2 bad?
