today the drivers window kept bouncing down after i tried pressing and holding the fob to close windows 

after a bit of testing it shut but not on one-shot

 

Now one-shot window function is kapput and when i lock the car I get 8 flashes off the central locking light 

 

Ill bet itll be ok once cooled down but is there a list of light flashes to refer to 

 

I dont have an owners manual my dealer is a div 

I had a similar thing on my golf ? Its must something to do with the heat ?

Try using the lock and key. open and close the windows a few times to see if it re-sets them. If not, disconnect the battery for a while, then try again. If still no joy, have a word with the dealer as they may need to re-set things on the computer. This only takes about ten mins. Mine did this for free, when my airbag light came on after I blew a fuse and pulled a few looking for the culprit!
