Replacement Car Mats

Featured Replies

Hi,

The original drivers side mat in my Octy has worn through, as per norm, but I can't complain after 129K miles. Would anyone be abe to advise me where I could get a replacement set from, that also has a drivers heal pad. Since my car has the mat fixing points already fitted, is there any non-OEM mats that will fit using them at all ?

Many thanks

Why not stick with the OEM since they seem to have done very well?

True, but I've read alot of posts from others on here saying how non-OEM are better, so I thought I'd ask around

Hi CJ,

I got the golf version of these for a family car: www.carmats4u.com

It was the Luxury version rather than the Platimum. Look good, feels like quality, lasted well, proper OEM type fixings. Customisable also, should you wish to.

Thanks for the suggestions guy's, much appreciated

I also used carmats4u to get a cheap set of mats to replace the OEM ones I bought with the car.

I don't intend to keep the car too much longer, so opted for the cheaper ones (£20)

Skoda Octavia 2004 Onwards Classic Car Mats

Carpet colour: Classic Black

Edge Colour: Ribb Red

Heelpad: Standard Carpet

Fixing system: Push-fit (round)

They are fine overall.  The push fit fixings were a little off (only a few mm, but enough) and the main section is clearly cheap, hard wearing carpet.

Still, they do the job and were proper cheap.

I bought a set of these for my last car - a 2005 5-door Civic.  The mats were a decent quality but a poor fit.  The heel pad on the driver's mat did not extend far enough to the left to be under my heel when my left foot was on the foot-rest.  The holes for the mounting pins were misplaced enough to pull the mat out of position.  The front passenger mat was tapered along its inner edge where it should have been straight so left a gap.  The rear mat (one piece on the 5-door Civic as it has a flat rear floor) was too small in some places and too large in others.  Hopefully the fit with the mats for the Skoda will be better.

Incidentally, some 'mat' companies will sell you just the driver's mat but they charge 1/2 or more the price of a full set!
