Featured Replies

23 July @ Castle Combe race circuit, VAG only track day.

See http://www.autometrix.co.uk/ for details etc.

Anyone else going to this???? Briskoda.net having a club stand?

Paul

I wish they would acknowledge that SKODA is part of the VAG group. it drives me nutts. I even spoke to the editor of the magazine at the last track day. He said

"So what do you drive".

" A Fabia vRS" i said

stuttering "Oh they have come on a lot haven't they. good cars now." -

"Not bad " i said.

He then looked at his watch and ****ed off...........

But the track day is pretty good. Only me and JonTDI went earlier this year - watch out for the RS4's though !

What's a track day? Is it something I would like? Would my SDI be OK on one of them trackday thingies?

I note Skoda are not on the list for coombe though...oh well time to rebadge.

:D:rofl:

I've witnessed just how slow it is, and I'm sure it wouldn't cope. ;)

wouldnt it be faster than yours at the mo??? :P

wouldnt it be faster than yours at the mo??? :P

A whale choking 74bhp faster!

We don't drive a volkswagen car or an audi car though ;)

We drive a skoda that happens to be part of the VAG group :) (cobbled together from bits of Audis and Volkswagens so I suppose you could get in on a technicality)

if its VAG does that mean i can turn up in a bugatti or a lambo??

As far as i'm aware skodas are allowed on track, think it even says skodas on the website. Be good to actually see a skoda on the track, ive been to this event the last few years and dont think i have actually seen a skoda on the track. Theres usually a few vRS's about in the car park or on club stands.

This is a good track day for any of u thinking of taking your car on the track, as the numbers are limited. Usually about 12 cars max at a time on the track. I did this track day a few yrs ago in my old golf. Would recommend it for any1 thinking of doing there 1st track day. Paul

I was on track 3 years ago there with my old Fabia 16v and earlier this year with the vRS in the wet. Fantastic circuit and I may well be there again this time. Not sure if I will be out on track though. Don't think I can afford it. Will try and take plenty of pictures though.

And it's Castle Coombe which is a current Touring Car circuit ++ loads of other circuit.

A normal day would set you back 200ish here and believe or not you would not be out much more anyway....it's a good price for the venue, although I'm not fan of fixed sessions.

10 minutes. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

You must forgive them Steve' date=' they obviously don't know you very well. There is now way you'll stay on the black stuff for that length of time. ;)[/quote']

Yours up chopknobs.
