I'm guessing that all octavia's have 55 litres as a max size fuel tank.....so home come I could fill the car up with 56 litres of fuel before the nozzle click.....Am i guessing rightly that is the reserve.....Is it a german car things cause never saw this on my vec.... :think: ....im confused......

You filled the tubing down to the tank if the pump nozzle clicked. I guess that takes a litre.

From reading further there is a 7 litre reserve....

I'm not sure if the reserve is once the low fuel light comes on, rather than a 55 litre tank plus 7 litre reserve. Usually quoted as 55 litre tank including reserve.

The 'reserve' is 7 litres when the light comes on but that's included in the 55 litre tank capacity but whats not uncluded is the capacity of the filler pipe up to the fuel cap.

Don't overfill, it can knacker the charcoal emissions filter. One click only at the pump.

Its a different shape to allow the prop shaft past but it is bigger and has two pumps in it, one for each side of the tank.
