What do people think of the skoda fabia 16v 1.4 comfort?

I have the 8v version and I can't fault it to be honest, I'm not sure if the tax bracket is the same but the only downfall to mine is the £195 a year tax :(

Cracking engine but keep an eye on the oil consumption. They're thirsty!

I found mine to be a fun, if not very reliable engine. Quite revvy, but not great low down as you'd expect and rubbish throttle/input response. Sounded quite good IMO too. 36mpg over it's lifetime (and about the same in oil! ) Seriously though, it did use more oil than my RX-8, and that's designed to burn oil.

 

I'd also claim the Comfort name to be inaccurate - seats aren't very good for long distances. Would it kill them to install lumbar support?
