Summer tyres! - Goodyear Vector 4Seasons

Featured Replies

Just thought it would be interesting to have a hot summer tyre thread!

Those of you with stock tyres must be loving the grip and confidence currently!

I wanted to throw in my 2p about my currently installed Goodyear Vector 4Seasons ... which I put on 17"'s following a requirement for new wheels...

I am happy to report that they are still working a treat! (Winter and cold wet weather has been exceptional) but I must confess I was expecting a lot more road noise and general steering disobedience during this warm spell - but I havn't at all. I get a decent growl when cornering very aggressively or coming to a very abrupt stop - but they are behaving as good as any 'normal' tyre I have experienced... Can't say I see any noticeable wear either - which is better than previous summer attempts at full on winter only tyres.

So still a full 2 thumbs up from me.

Good to know.

How many miles do you do per year?

Cheers for update on how they are going and your thoughts.

I'm about to start researching new tyers for mine, fronts are nearly there at 11k miles :(

Will be debating usual top brand summers vs the tyers you have. As I cannot face buying steels / winter alloys.

Had car from new.

Only about 10k - but mostly on rather poor roads...

+1 for the 4 Seasons I have them on the Scout and the SLK, faultless performace all year round.

Run the same tyres all year round on all work cars. In slightly hotter summers and colder winters all over Europe. Always been very impressed and getting around 35000km out of them. Not had one car get stuck in snow not even in Switzerland during winter in last 4 years since changing to them and zero driver to blame accidents.
