More major disaster, sheared an easy out off in the bleed nipple! Broke my own rule......never ever use an easy out in a brake nipple, even a snap-on one ....never ever works!

update time, lots of help from nitrovrs

the last few tidy up jobs.......... drop links, bit of a guess on these as the stock ones were way long, these are Mercedes, about 11 inches ish

eventually got to light free dash, the N75 had a break in the engine loom, and the secondary lambda heater was open circuit

still had an abs light, was the left front abs sensor.

Ran into an issue with the centre exhaust hanger, because the cat is from a TT 4x4, it sits lower, and forces the mid section to sit slap in the middle of the hanger/brace, had to lose that, so have mocked up a replacement to get the dimensions right.....

this will need making good, and nitrovrs doesn't like the clamps, he wants me to V band it...... :wonder:

So So want to drive it now but waiting on a map, the mapper was waiting for a clean VCDS scan which we now have bar a fault code for the vvt (because the APY hasn't got VVT) the car has a resistor on the solenoid but obviously isn't seeing the cam timing change so getting 16396 (Bank 1: Camshaft A (Intake): Advance Setpoint not Reached (Over-Retarded)) confident this will map out, then MOT time! soon I hope........

MOT day arrived. First time the car has been driven on the road for 3 years or so, some gremlins appeared, engine keeps throwing the above cam timing code every few starts, but made it to the mot and got a pass, albeit with an advisory to check the brakes (new pads binding we thought) got back and decided to a couple of logging runs with nitroVRS  , check the map, after the first run and braking heavily the brakes came on and stayed on. waited a half hour, they released enough to drive home. bit gutted, no more driving till fixed, stripped the master cylinder and found this

brake servo fallen to bits inside, pushing the brake master on and not allowing the fluid to return! new one on me........

ever tried to change a brake servo with out removing the engine? what a mare!

Found a (super clean) replacement from evilbay, £10 + delivery, awesome! mine was pretty mangy looking so like new now.

did some more runs (with NitroVRS on his laptop again), had an overboost/compressor surge issue, map has been tweeked back, also retro fitted a vvt actuator to the APY to clear the cam retard fault code, improved running as well.

so now running and driving :-)

Sleeper VRS? we guestimating about the 270-280bhp mark, I had a 300 bhp Subaru GTB previously, and this is way faster! awesome grip, brakes are stonking! the thing that strikes most is the top gear roll on, don't need to drop it down! how chuffed am I :-D

things left to do, finish the centre console gauge install, tidy the breather system, solve the downpipe hitting the tunnel issue, I think the tunnel in the TT is bigger my TT downpipe is hard on it most of the time, will be going aftermarket with a 3 inch 200 cell cat most likely
