Recommended Tweaks

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I am getting my car it's first service on Monday and have already proposed a couple of tweaks; namely cornering fogs and anti-hijack.

My question is, what other tweaks would you guys and gals suggest?

Thanks in advance.

Paul.

Beep on lock/ unlock.

Needle sweep.

teardrop wipe on the rear wiper?

Thanks.

Can the teardrop be activated on the front wipers too?

Thanks.

Not sure, I don't remember seeing it as an option in the long coding. Also as my car is pre FL it will be somewhat different to yours.

Turn off the annoying seat belt warning.

Get rid of the KMH speed display (if you have maxidot)

Turn off the 'bong' telling you when your phone has connected via Bluetooth.

Change the Selective Unlocking, did on mine because most of the time I have either my Mrs with me or something that needs to go in the boot, so about 90% of the time I was having to double unlock on the remote.

Should double the life of my remote battery  :sun:

Turn off the 'bong' telling you when your phone has connected via Bluetooth.

Didn't know you could do that.

Pretty sure I've seen others mention it's been done, I want it doing on mine as well

Front teardrop should already be active. When you pull the stalk, you'll get screenwash and a few wipes, then a pause, then a single wipe. The singe wipe is the teardrop. I don't remember seeing it as a 'selectable' feature.

My car doesn't do that.

My doesn't do it either. 4 successive wipes and it's done. My 59 plate Cupra did the teardrop.

Thanks for all the suggestions though.

Well I am still waiting to get my car back as the techies are struggling to turn on the cornering fogs and so are on the phone to Skoda. Apparently it isn't for my model of car - a vRS

I had both my vRS cornering fogs activated.

After spending 6hours at the dealers they still couldn't do it. For some reason it wouldn't work.

Take it to someone who has VCDS and knows what they are doing. It works fine on my 2010 and 2012 VRS.
