Bought myself a Fabia Monte Tech 1.2 tsi, in Red, on Saturday and will be collecting it on Friday. Really like the spec and look of the car and the cost kept me under budget. Proper looking forward to collecting it. Not looking forward to running it in and having to keep myself from giving it the berries.

 

Am moving from a mk2.5 MX5 1.8 so Im hoping Im not going to be too dissappointed by the performance. However, Im looking forward to not having to change my underpants every time I take the car out in anything other than a dry day. The 20mpg from the 5 wont be missed either.

 

Got the car from Hortons Skoda in Lincoln and the service was fantastic. No pressure, no bother, just decent guys. They did ask me about the Guardx cover but I didnt bother with it. Id deffinately recommend Hortons.

I have just bought the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo Tech. I have gone for the 1.6 diesel in white as that was all they could get hold of. However I have to wait till sept as it is still sat in the docks in Germany ready to be shipped.  

 

 

Well, collected the car on Friday and have done about 200 miles in it. What an excellent little car. All the kit I need with an amusing engine and even more amusing styling. The lads in McDonalds/Halfords car park think its ace  :think:  Finding the Amundsen+ satnav confusing at times but its still good. Fuel economy is great compared to my old MX5 and the handling is very capable. I find it quiet even with the low profile tyres. The missus likes it which is the most important thing.

 

When I colected the car Hortons could not have been better. I even got the Guardx paint/interior cover free even though I had cancelled it. Bonus. I couldnt resist giving it a coat of Autoglym HD Wax and it looks better than it ever will again.

 

Overall, Im very cuffed I went with the Furby. Reds better than White too

Nice choice on the tech

 

I see plenty of Montes about in Lincoln.
