Good read but I lost the plot after a while I'll have to give it another go later.

I think that was my point!  LOL  It is all just marketing gobbledygook!!!

Not the best-written article on vehicular transport!!

Anyone else surprised that we need to "motivate" our wheels? It's probably on a par with talking to plants. Exhort your tyres! LOL

Thanks, er - yes, thanks, Johann for assisting my siesta!

You have to remember that it was written by an american for americans........................................... :giggle:

Me too, my eyes started to glaze over and think I must have nodded off because I'm sure it was an hour ago when I started reading it! I'll give it another go later as it is probably very informative. (or not)

The letters/replies at the end are far more entertaining :giggle:

Golly...  I had not ventured that far, but that is a bunch of pedants for you!  But also very knowledgeable.

I was confused by the time I got to the pic of the Mini

Are they knowledgeable or spouting Wiki and the likes  ;)  :giggle:

It had all the hallmarks of a piece put together by a hack trying to fill space-nothing useful, no point and a plain failure to either define terms or impart genuine insights.

If the cut and paster "author" tries to grapple with haldex I'd read it for amusement.

I just looked at the pretty pictures.  :giggle:

The pictures are not bad indeed. As for the rest... I think I've already read something very similar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-wheel_drive

The question is: what's the point in retelling Wikipedia articles?  :giggle:
