i did the sai removal with the 10w 330ohm resister like the write up says but after 2 days of driving the engine management light is on. why is this as the car still performs fine but its annoying having the light on just feels like i have a broken car everytime i look at the dials.

This is a typical thing that happens buddy. The resistors do not always work although they are still needed. You will not get any adverse effects as running without the SAI will not cause running issues even with a cell light on. Most folks either live with it and just check codes periodically to check if still only the SAI combi valve voltage issue or get it mapped out when a re map is done.

+1 bowders, just depends can be few hours or few months before light comes on. You can fool the ecu that the pump is still there but you will still get an incorrect flow code. You can keep clearing the code but will reset fuel trims so wont be as economical.

Think you have misunderstood the post mate. It wont affect economy if you leave CEL on. Everytime you reset your fault codes(if you dont want CEL on) the fuel trims are reset so ECU has to relearn its optimum values.

ahh got u now. my car is stage 1 mapped so will reseting affect the fuel trims on the map?

I just lived with my light on until i had car mapped and got them mapped out at same time.

Speak to whoever mapped your car and see if they can do it and how much they will charge you to do it, think shark charged me 30quid extra from memory

Yes will with any map mate, wont make a massive difference dont get me wrong but ecu will have to relearn values. Most, including me live with the light on or get mapped out
