After my little mishap, I find this dangling down by the horn (behind nearside bottom grille aperture). It may have been dangling for a long time, but from the clean part on the lever I suspect it was connected to something or other. It's obviously a position sensor of some sort, but for what?

Part no. on the plug is 1J0 973 702, which doesn't help since it's the part number for the plug itself. :D

Apart from that, the bumper and nearside indicator, nothing hurt, except pride. :D

Pride hurts the most.... except for broken bones.

no idea what that is tbh mate....

Oh well, will be jacking it up tomorrow, but for now, too much to do. :(

I think it's the ambient air temp sensor.

yes thats the external temp sensor, its slots into the bumper and is fitted with a screw from the front
