Hi all,

 

I have a Fabia 1.4 8v 2001, which had EML on. Read a few threads and used vcds lite. Seem to have cured fault with purge valve but keep getting P1640-35-00 .

Am I going to need a new ECU to cure this? If so is it coded to the car or can it just be changed

It's coded to the car, fault is probably due to water ingress into ECU through the wiring loom.

oh dear! will clear it again and put up with it for now then,don't really see that i can do much with an internal fault.

do you think it could actually be moisture on the chips, can they be opened up and dried out?
