What's the isse. And it's accepted

I thought this was an issue with the chrome window surrounds, and remember this from a previous post so will certainly be checking mine out when it arrives but I thought they had sorted the problem ?

been stated on here 3mm gap on b pillar rear drivers side door and 2mm on passenger door. sorry Ryan stressed out

When I saw the pics of that a while back I couldn't believe it got past their inspection process ??

Quite right to reject it and wonder if it was an earlier built model that has just sat around waiting for someone needing that spec of car ?

very similar

Did you order a car that was already built or did you wait to have one built more recently ??

There was a thread back in May from "carrock" about the same that was reported to Skoda technical. I can't find any latest so have sent a message to "carrock" asking if there was any solution from Skoda about the problem.

thanks Kalpat and made special order

That's disturbing if they are still coming through new builds with the same problem   they must have been made aware of the problem when it was originally seen in May, so to be almost in August and still have them come through like that is very unacceptable.

Still gobsmacked it got through their own inspection and the dealers PDI inspection.................not very good is it ?

Are all cars like this, or only certain builds?

Only on Octavia as I understand it but so far only a small number of them have been noticed.

Is it just with chrome?

We ordered 3 fleet cars for may and June delivery- the other 2 were delivered after mine and have the same problem. All of the octys delivered in May to Telfords carlisle have the same problem.

They sorted mine quickly as I complained.

They ordered new seals and fitted them locally in a day. Is fine now,

Is it just with chrome?

No.

I feel for you mate, to wait for a new and then it not be perfect,

Hopefully it will be sorted very soon

Just wondering is it worth starting a sticky of issues found/things to check when people inspect their cars

 Of course it is! Thumbs up from me!

As far as I am aware, Carrock did not have chrome. Mine has the chrome and no issues.

Having seen the video of the automated production line you still see the cars coming down the final stretch with their doors open and being inspected all over so its really hard to see how this type of fault is not detected before the car gets stamped off for delivery.

do you have a link to that video

Controversial but I can't see what all this is about! Mine has this "gap"? I'm not bothered by it, I don't lose sleep over it either. I certainly don't want my car pulled to pieces because of a few mm gap in a bit of trim. If it was an 2.5cm gap, fine, time to kick up, but a few mm, really? Life's to short.....just my opinion.

Come winter and you get water freezing in that gap it will soon become an even bigger gap leading to more problems ? Seems daft to me the car has a problem and you spend all that money on it and don't let them fix it ? You have rights why not use them ?

Ok we get the chubby finger thing!
