I'm working on the basis that I'll at least be able to see a sample card before it's too late to change my mind.

I like metallic reds, I really like the red Renault have used on the new Clio. Rio Red looks like it will be a bit lighter in shade than the Renault, well from the brochure it does.

Guys, I've only had mobile access for the last week and will for tw next week so looking at the the colour on the phone is next to useless! Can anyone confirm if its an orangy red colour or a straight red please? Thanks.

On the configurator it looks straight red, slightly darker than the solid Corrida Red. I'm not convinced it's a great representation though.

Yeah. The green one on the configuration looks nothing like the actual shade on the car.

Agreed. I'm chasing my dealer for one of the sample cards and keeping an eye out for photos of actual cars in the colour on the web.

I've just enjoyed a 24hr road test in Rainworth's new diesel estate demonstrator - not that I needed much convincing mind you - and they haven't got a clue about Rio Red. I had to tell them about when it goes into production! I'm desperate to place my order but I'm not as brave as spacenase!

 

You would think that someone must know something about Rio Red even if it's only a reference to another VAG shade?

ive got in my head a colour somewhere between the focus red and the new clio. but I have already ordered corrida!

Rio Red is available to order on the Fabia vRS from 30th September, but still no pics anywhere to be found.

According to Skoda UK the dealers will eventually get a Technical Bulletin which will include details of the new colour(s). Don't know when though. I assume they'll be able to get the colour sample sheets after that.

 

I've already complained to them about the way their different systems have different information in them. I think this is another example.

I think skoda sell cars despite their marketing. not because of it!

It's fortunate their cars are so good!!

My bravery might be backfiring on me. The order has been in for over a week and no provisional build week yet...  :(

Skoda UK told me on the phone last Monday that they had JUST closed for 3 weeks

No, it closed in July. I think they meant it has just BEEN closed for three weeks.

Good for you! Hopefully that'll make it more likely that they'll schedule a build date. Put it on here as soon as you get one.
