Both of mine are 03 plate thunder grey. Definitely one of the best cars i've owned. Actually stripping one as we speak so I can put the engine in a yaris haha.

That will fly!

Awesome engine!

If you have'nt stick a k+n typhoon on it! Makes your ears bleed! Stuff vtec! Much better note

Since everyone has been looking at them I'm starting to want one

Why are they so cheap though? for such a quick car it seems a bit odd.

Didnt like the K&N as you have to extend the MAF wires. I went for a Blitz SUS as it looked nicer too.

They're not the cheapest car to run, very understated so not many people know what they are. Its just like most hot hatches  nowadays, all can be had for reasonable money as everyone is going eco mad. Plus the corolla is deemed a granddad car. Type R performance but without the badge or high insurance costs. Plus the 2ZZGE is a proven reliable engine, great to drive with as you've got power all across the rev range.

come on guys shouldnt we be telling him to stick to skoda lol. I have a gt4 as well as my octy, but gt4 celica always puts a smile on my face even the normal celica mk2 is fun to drive and they r cheap to buy and run, you can get classic car insurance on it.

mk2 Celica? The earliest GT-Four was the gen 4, the last was the gen 6 (mid - late 90s).

I own a mk1 Octavia VRS and a Clio 172 at the moment. Octy is more comfortable and much better build quality, Clio goes around corners a lot better and is not as thirsty. In terms of other running costs, the Clio will probably cost you more.

Corolla T Sport or 90s Celica GT would also be a good bet and shouldn't be too expensive to insure.

The tsport corolla is only gp14 insurance wheras a type r is 17

Thats in old money not the 0/50 scale crap they use now

group 14 is pretty high still if you ask me :/ considering the Fab is a 9 haha.

Not for its speed its not!

If it can mince group 17 cars looks a no brainer to me

His 178 bhp vRS mark 2 is group 27,

 the 187/189bhp T Sport is group 28

& the 213 bhp T Sport is group 32.

Clio 172 / 182 group 31,

Honda Type R 198 bhp group 34

I would have a 172 cup out of the list so far, we had one at work i took it out on test drive and didn't want to take it back,

I need a bigger car hence the octy vrs else i would have seriously considered getting one,

As much as they break, 106 GTi's are so much fun to drive lol
