Full lock shock

Featured Replies

Got my rapid at 10.30 this morning.  Really piled on the kilometres. Done 35 so far.  Actually been busy re-loading it with maps Wurthers, torches, yellow jackets, leaves and sweet wrappers for the footwells.

Actually I've reduced the weight by nearly 40 lbs.  Two sets of spanners I forgot I had and never used in 8 years ,screwdrivers ---8 of the damn things !!!why ???  How about 5 of those round tubs of hand wipes with a hole in the lid.  All bone dry and useless.  Three toilet rolls (general cleaning for the use of)---no ! not that.  For jacking the car on soft ground a 2 foot length of 6 " by 2 " timber. I'll give that to a passing Eddie Stobart driver.

So many Berlitz phrase books and dictionaries I had to laff,  Now it is legal requirements plus oil (only 1 litre)  and small water bottle to wash off bird **** .

I'm ashamed really.  It won't get that bad again.  It'll take twice as long.

Now FULL LOCK SHOCK.  To park I have to go full lock to full lock quickly to wriggle in to my space.

No problem --dead easy.  But what really made me jump was the loud metal on metal clunk/clang as something underneath hit first one stop then the other.  Never ever did this on the Octavia. Not a sound.

I assume it is normal but IF it IS best to avoid it, it will make parking a bu$$er of a job.

Any views at all from you wise chaps.

Car is nice.  It will take some time to get used to it driving like a petrol however.
