Instrument Cluster 2002 1.9 tdi.

Featured Replies

I have noticed today that my instrument cluster is not working, yes, it took me this long to realise, it's the square bit between the odometer and rev counter that does not work, everything else is ok.

I remember my last car a passat, as soon as I turned the key in the ignition red digital information popped up temperature outside, miles per gallon and how many miles before the next fill, all this is missing on the Octy and the screen is blank apart from the top that shows when doors are open etc...

Is this broke or is that how it is supposed to work on the Octy, could this be a fuse, or is it the dreaded dry joints that I have been reading about, I have also read somewhere that someone got it fixed just by disconnecting the battery for an hour or so.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

That's normal, mpg etc is in the bottom left window, & is scrolled using the switch on the end of your wiper stalk.
