Featured Replies

Gave both cars a clean so thought id stick some pics up,the mk1 is lowered on jom coiovers with a whiteline rarb, octavia spiders and a k&n panel filter so far. The mk2 is bog standard and is staying that way till i trade it in next year.

2 nice looking cars there. Why you trading the mk2?

Next year will be the end of the finance term so will look for either a octy vrs with dsg or another mk2 but an estate one.

Which do you like best mate ?

I'd have to say the mk1 due to the manual box and driving position when I drive the mk2 the driving position is too high and it just feels a bit numb even though the straight line pace of the mk2 still puts a smile on my face the mrs uses it more than I do now though lol

How low is ur mk1 vrs and how does it ride is it quite bouncy or just a hard ride

  • Author

Not 100% sure how low think from memory it's about 50 front 40 rear. The ride is a bit bouncy on national speed limit roads but when driving round town it's not too bad at all

did u find your tracking out. did u have it laser aligned

  • Author

Yeah I had to get the tracking redone at my local wheel alignment place

Prefer the mk1 but then again I have one and it is the mk1 section lol.

Side by side the mk1 is soo much nicer
