Citigo Sport Ordered

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Thought I would show my face in this section..... just ordered a Candy White Sport for my wife, arrives early Sept on a new '63' plate.

Cant wait to be honest as I've no track/weekend car currently and the A6 is the most boring thing alive!

Car will be kept standard (although I think Ronal Turbos would look sweet!) as my wife hasn't actually passed her test yet!

Ill probably bring it to any meets that I can make so maybe see some of you there.

Cheers,

Pete

Hi

Welcome to Briskoda :)

Good choice of model and white is very nice

Like your thinking with the Ronals, I looked at those too :D

Your not far from me so maybe catch you at a meet sometime

Cheers

Cheers for the intro Damo!

White was the good ladies choice, I probably would have chosen red but purely so I can see my handy work better when it's waxed!

Ronals or Comp Mos would look quality I think! Cheers....

Pleased that the Sport seems to be selling quite well now. Rewards Skoda for making a cool looking little car and means they may make more like it in the future :)

Welcome to the sport club and welcome to Briskoda.

Rang up the dealer today to get an update on my Sport-could not not tell me a lot, no build date etc.Said it would be late September for delivery at a rough guess. If I knew it was going to take that long would of not bothered to place the order. But on the positive side they are sticking to the original p/ex price for my Yeti.

Is yours factory order then? I've been told there is availability at Port so I can get it first week of sept.... Mine is standard though.

Just a bulk standard Sport,no options apart from the spare wheel.

Snap. I decided to forego the convenience pack (would've loved cruise) but decided to take the car sooner and convince myself that less is more and adds to the stripped down new-original-MIni aesthetic of the Citigo Sport.

Hmmm. Me too. Starting to question my delivery date now!

Ordered 28th of June, arrived July 22nd. Ordered before the 0% deal, so when I got that too it was a real Brucey.

Same as above, I ordered my white sport on Saturday and have been told it will arrive in 2 weeks so I can have it when ever! Decided the 1st Sept :-)

I was offered the 1st but we're at a wedding the day before so I asked for the 2nd! Lol

Am I being a bit naïve here but should the dealer be able to tell me when my car is being built ie week 34 or 35 etc ?.I should imagine if I am going to take delivery in September sometime the car should be getting built in the next couple of weeks?.

I've just spoken to my dealer and he said it is at the port ready to be delivered to them either this week or next. He has said delivery for the 1st is fine but like I said the Sunday isn't happening so I'm picking up(sorry we're picking up!) on the second.

The only consolation is the longer the dealer takes to get the car the more money they are losing on the deal,as I have said they are sticking by the p/ex price I negotiated with them so at the moment my Yeti is not depreciating.

Who've you ordered yours with leckman?

Mitchells opposite Cheshire Oaks.Bought my Yeti off them.As Alex Lawries and Lightcliffe Skoda were both hopeless I gave them another go.

Aah ok. I've got mine from lookers in Manchester even though lightcliffe is closer!

Rang Lightcliffe up and was told 'ring you back in 5 mins'.Waited 65 mins without a response so rang them again. The phone rang and rang without anyone picking up,so hung up,gave it 10 mins and rang again.Same result,no one would answer the phone so gave up and went to Mitchells.

Lookers had an unregistered Red one parked out the front for over a week a couple of weeks ago. Then the salesman was driving it up and down the road each day,so i thought they were going to sell it as a pre reg.

Did you get a good discount on the Sport? I was offered a pre reg from a firm miles away for £8800,but i still want an automatic.I  Do like the Sport but i know i would regret getting a manual the first traffic jam i came to. I do not know why they do not offer the Sport in automatic. That would be the perfect choice for me.

Seems I am getting new car straight off the production line.Which is great, its just waiting for the darn thing to be built !.

I had a similar experience with Lookers tbh.

Rang Stockport over and over but gave up. Then a few hours later they called me back. I went up there to test drive one and to cut a very long story short, they were useless. Had one Sport parked round the back that they couldnt find keys for even though I had arranged the visit.

Wanted to get me to test drive an S, as it was 'the same dimensions'.

I gave up after 30 mins as he couldnt give me prices without a test drive! I called Manchester the next day, went in for a test drive and ordered.

Lookers are doing new Sports for £119 dep, £119pm for 42 months. Only reason I pursued them really!

Yes but there is nothing different about the S that would matter for test drive. The only differences are trivial cosmetic ones. Same size, same controls and same engine. Only the steering wheel is slightly different.

You could probably argue the 15mm suspension changes might be noticeable too though...
