Hi guys ive got a skoda fabia 1.4 comfort, I'm having issues when I rev and let the rev counter drop.. Instead of staying at one point it drops causing it to loose power almost cutting out but then reaches idle, does this when reversing aswell...

Also rev counter is pretty jumpy like someone is holding the needle but got the shakes..

Very strange its cut out a few times, I'm guessing it could be a air leak but need help identifying the problem.

This could be a number of things.

Get it scanned for codes.

Check your mass air flow sensor.

Check your idle control valve.
