Cheapest one I've ever seen ........

Featured Replies

Came across this at my local Evan's Halshaw. It is in the "runabouts" section, the relevance of which I'm not too sure.

It is a 140 BHP DSG Elegance (satnav, leather etc) and is the cheapest one I've ever seen, even at >100K miles.

Only paid £7700 for mine with 36K miles same age and colour

But yours is "S". This is Elegance.

I traded my 59 plate at a toyota dealer got 8.5k for it then found it for sale on a website for 7.5k it was the 170 bhp elegance with 102k. so thats not that cheap. Boy do I miss it, I was tempeted to buy it back.

It doesn't look like an Elegance to me?

Wrong alloys (or are they the optional Luna's instead of the Thermisto's?) and no chrome strips on the bottom of the doors...

...but it does have the bi-xenon headlights which suggests it is an Elegance...

Cat C writeoff was it?

No his is a Skippy spec, see what I mean as if you could buy a 36k mile Superb for £7700, and that was nearly two years ago iirc,

You are a cad Skippy, but I suppose you are at least consistant with bull crapping on forums,

I gotta hear the reason in the next reply..............och noooo mon, ah boot it fram a wee fella in tha swally who kept nudge nudge wink winking me :giggle:

Bargepole touch wouldn't,

110k DSG towbar nearly 9k, nooooooooooooooo thanks.

Red DI suggests it's either been fettled, or it's actually a 170CR not a 140PD?

Definitely an Elegance and just got cheaper too

Yep, you are right, it has the no-cost Luna alloy upgrade too.

The towbar looks like a Westfalia so likely a dealer fit jobbie.

Looks a little scruffy inside which to me gives a fairly good idea on how the rest of the car (in particular the mechanicals) have been treated.

A high mileage car is always a gamble but if I was to pick a car to take a gamble with the Superb would be high on the list so I'd give it a look over.

If its advertised at close to £9K then you'd hope to get it for closer to £8K after some negotiation.

I wanted Elegance spec but in the end I prioritised a newer, lower mileage car instead so plumped for a two year old 14K SE instead for £13K. Worth the extra £4K in my opinion.
