Fabia Misfiring engine management light

Featured Replies

Help needed I have a Skoda Fabia 1.4  mpi  been having problem with loss of power and engine judder looks like misfiring engine management light comes on after a few stops and starts. On reader last diagnosis was cylinder 3 fault tried different coils (or mechanic did).

doesn`t solve issue

Seems to think it could now be something to do with cylinder going is there any way of determining whether this is the case if so is this terminal or just expensive how much ?

You could do compression test that's what I'd do. Only takes half an hour from start to finish and compare psi ratings of cylinders against engine spec, overtime they go down but if one is not within tolerance ie - /+ 10 psi then there's a problem.
