Is anyone breaking a favorit ?

Featured Replies

As above really I'm after a pair of front springs from a 1300 favorit for the front of my fun I've read they lower the fun quite nicely ?

I wouldn't fit em on a fun, as it has the heavy engine it will be on the bumpstops all the time mate.

You reckon mate

yes you are fitting shorter springs designed to carry an aluminium engine that is pretty light and fitting them to a strut with a lower seat so less initial preload and much heavier engine... best bet is to go the ford route really for the front and the 1.8 zetec is around the same weight on the front too.

Cheers mate do you mean the whole strut and spring or just spring ? Sorry for all the questions but new to the skoda world

whole strut fits, just some messing about with topmounts is all, simple enough but search in here a few folk are running ford fronts now, we have mk6 escort 1.8 uprated ones on the 1400 and they were all good.

Cheers I will do that will standard ford springs give a drop or will lowered springs still be required for what ever legs I use ?
