Thoughts on this car...

Featured Replies

Ive got OCP so wouldn't touch it with a barge pole due to the bits that are missing......Front grill has a bit missing and the 2 reflectors on the rear bumper are missing......but then the car might be sound.....worth either going to see it or just ignoring it and look for something a little more expensive (depending on your budget) but in slightly better condition.....but thats just my opinion.... :D

Apart from the front grill & rear reflectors it looks a nice car,no mention of full service history though.

Missing parts shouldn't be a problem in themselves (I assume they're quite cheap bits).

The strange thing is... how comes it lost both the reflectors?

Maybe I'm overly suspicious but it could be a hastily replaced bumper after a major bang, forgetting to fit new reflectors.

A quick (but deep) inspection down there should be done.

Loads to choose from in better nick than that!

Thanks for the input guys, food for thought...I'm torn between a cheaper higher mileage Mk2 vRS or a decent spec cheaper overall Mk1 vRS...

Not many Mk2's for £4k on 70k miles, but I agree the one I've found does look a little ragged. I like Sambo's Mk1 in the classifieds on here but it's £2.9kono, I'm just thinking for a £1k-£1.5k more I could get a Mk2, so 4 years newer.

Here's another, but another £1k over the original one I posted:

Hmmmmm. It would be nice to have peace of mind to know it's a well loved and cared for car as this is how I keep mine and I know how important it is.

That's alright, in fairness it looked like a heap of poo anyway. Bad call by me, good advice from you guys. I'm going to look at one tomorrow that looks and sounds alot nicer. What do you think:

Oh and it's a 56 2006 not 2011, mistake by AT/him! I was hoping for 18" zeniths and cruise which this doesn't have unfortunately. Does have a map with printout done by R-Tech tho so that's good. Mileage has to be the most attractive point, FSH too etc so we'll see. Anyone want to buy a mint 6MPS with Mazda warranty, new Bridgstones, loads of tax/mot, cheaper tax band too. Just can't fit a dog fairly in the boot. Really going to miss the BOSE system.

Hmmmmmmm not bad.....make sure you do a HPI and Mot check on it with regards to the millage and make sure you look into the service history with a fine tooth comb......either way its not a bad motor.....

Ok soz, I did use to be a freedom member back when I had my Mk1 but that's obviously expired now! Hopefully if I do get that or another Octavia I will sign up to freedom again. Please feel free to edit/delete mods.
