Hi all. This may sound a little random but im looking at putting an ipad mini into my fabia. Im going to buy an aftermarket stereo and moving it into my glovebox. 

The problem is, i dont actually think the wiring will reach that far around and wondered if anybody may know of any products that could be of help to me... I've checked places like car audio but couldnt really see anything and also didnt really seem to show anything in concrete. I've attempted to contact them and they just ignored me. 

 

Any suggestions would be greatful.

Sam, TBH it could be done pretty easilly. 

 

The ISO loom that you use for your after market stereo could be cut in half, and use something like these to splice in extra wires.

Good shout, I was a little apprehensive to cut and chop wires I was just hoping to be able to buy one of extra length but needs must and all that lol thank you for the link

there's no reason why you couldnt make up a radio extension loom from parts, the terminals and connector blocks are readily available from some of the auto electrical suppliers, the only trouble is having to buy the tool to crimp the contacts if you dont already have one

ahh not to worry on that matter i work for vw anyway, i just wondered if there was a way to avoid cutting and crimping but it appears there isn't which doesn't bother me really. I wanted to ensure that if i ever get rid of the car that i can just chuck  everything back to original as i'm sure not everyone will appreciate an iPad mini dock where a radio once was lol
