Silver paint

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I keep my car pretty clean using various autoglym and meguires products and they do a pretty good job, but it lacks the wow factort hat you get when you clean a darker coloured car.

I'll wash it with AG shampoo, i've clayed it, polished it with SRP and I wax it with next tech wax and like it said it comes up nice and clean but just lacks the wow factor.

What would you guys suggest I try? Anyone had success with certain products on silver paint?

Cheers guys

Silver is probably the hardest colour to get a serious wow factor, but like any paintwork it's all in the preparation.

To get the best results it needs a machine polish to correct it and remove all the minor marks and achieve the best reflection B)

Sealer works best on Light colours

Wax will always make you ask for more from it .........with silver

I thought next wax was technically a sealer? Anyway I was thinking of adding a couple more products to my arsenal, can't justify a machine polisher just yet but i've had my eye on carlack's sealant kit or maybe dodo juice's iron cross.

Ummm so many products to choose from.

Get a proper sealer...I don't rate NXT wax as a stand alone LSP
