Yeti Elegance

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

I have a new elegance and it deosn't seem to have some standard equipment ie Airconditioned glove box and intergrated headlight wash system? Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing?

Regards

Mark

Hello Skaifeym and welcome :hi: .

I suggest you post your query over on the Yeti forum.  I'm sure someone there has a recent Elegance and can make a knowledgeable comment - I drive an SE.

I've got a one year old Elegance.  To be honest, I didn't know the glovebox was air conditioned!  There is an air conditioned drinks container under the arm rest though.  You should have headlamp washers.  They only work when the lights are on an then only something like one on five screen washes.

Open the glove box, there should be a small 'pull' lever top RH side - with 'Open' on it! When you can see 'Open' (i'e' lever pulled forward) chilled air should be fed into the glove box via the aircon!

The headlamp washers are hidden behind two rhomboid shaped covers set into the front bumper below the bi-xenon headlights

Welcome to the forum Mark.

Your Elegance does indeed have zircon under the armrest and headlamp washers.

The headlamp washers only work every 5 'screen-washes' as there is not a dedicated button to activate them.

Under the armrest, there is a little square lever to pull up and that feeds chilled air into it.

Its only really ideal for 2 cans of fizz and couple of choccy bars.

VERY welcoming on a warm day.  :whew:

Had no idea the glovebox was also air conditioned    and I've had it nearly THREE years  :giggle:

Don't you guys read the owners manual

Hi and welcome aboard.

Just found the two levers as well after reading this.

I had forgotten there was mention of a lever in the armrest before, didnt know about the glovebox one at all.

RTFM  :giggle:

On another note, I take it there isn't a 'boot open' button somewhere aside from the one on the remote key fob?

One inside the car would be handy considering the boot opens independently of the doors. I've lost count of the times I've went to get shopping out of the boot and its locked, with the car keys already been put in the house  :wall:

Checked my glove box and found the lever marked open to pull, remember to close it before you putting the heating on!

Good point that one - it'll save "liquid chocolate" infestation come winter :-)
