2.0tfsi troubles.....

Featured Replies

Right this is for my best mates leon fr. I put in here as id thought you guys would know the most about 2.0tfsi as its in our octy vrs'.

Basically the problem is under heavy acceleration the car stops giving power at about 3.5k revs and refuses to give anymore power then if you keep your foot nailed to throttle long enough it will give you power again although this doesnt happen everytime, so not actually sure if its going into limp mode or its just a gigantic flat spot like somethings sticking.

It has thrown up a fault code of 000315 not sure what thats for :-/

It first started doing this once in a blue moon then the problem has just become more and more frequent.

Components changed: fuel filter, fuel pump cam follower (was badly worn although didnt solve problem)

Ive swapped my MAF from my vrs over to see if it was a MAF problem but didnt solve anything.

Vw audi centre at melksham want to fit a new turbo but he wants to see if there is a cheaper solution first.

Any suggestions/solutions would be greatly appreciated

Cheers briskodians :-)

P.s engine is a 2006 with 72k miles

That fault code is for a lamba sensor. I would check for a split diverter valve as well. Also have the coil packs been changed All vag group did a recall campaign . A bust turbo woul scream and whistle

Coil packs will just judder so count them out.

As above change the sensor first, turbos can be had for under £300 with 3-6 month warranty. and then about 5 hours to fit.
