Got the vRS dyno'd. 'An underpowered fabia'

Featured Replies

It's about right, I have a smooth curve my car dynod at 140 standard, and 181 remapped on the same day, it's boosting nearly on the limit and fueling on the limit so no more power really.

I never understood the torque thing. My fab is bog standard atm and it feels so much quicker than my leon 20v non turbo of the same power output. Torque is awesome :)

Which one was yours, the silver or black one? I was there with the silver BMW...

Mine was the silver one and was that the BMW estate?

That looked tidy- didn't see what the other VRS ran, do you remember? I remember seeing one of Clive's stickers on it.

Yes, that was mine. Last one of the day- made 233bhp, which I really wasn't expecting (193bhp standard with a few bolt-ons, plus it's a 110,000-mile engine).

Realistically 170bhp is your top whack before you start ****ing about with massive intercoolers/PD150 turbos, so I'd be happy with that. :) my old Fab vRS was running around 160bhp, I think...

Yeah I think 170 is a real accurate figures these cars can make remapped, 180 is a little optimistic I did however gain 40 so it's on the money.

It's impressive for just a generic stage 1 map. 35ish bhp over stock is not to be sniffed at.

Mine was custom map.

Suffice to say we did better than a generic map but it wasnt bad, improved on it and some places.

I was surprised with my car the other day, didnt realise they are quicker than a lightly modded saxo vts!
