BKD Fuel filter

Featured Replies

After much swearing and cutting up of fingers on various parts.  :@ ... How do you get the fuel filter out?  :dull:

Got the top off, surprised myself when the whole tank came off its holder and soaked part of my bottoms in diesel.  :wall:

Then met with a plastic clip of some sort with about 6 holes and a blue gasket.

*Tug-tug-tug Pull Pull Push Twist Pull'n'Twist Push'n'twist Jump'n'crouch shake it all about in out in out do the okiecokie*

Nothing other than a bloody finger and stinking of diesel. I'm clearly not made out to be a mechanic.

Reminds me why I prefer to get someone else to service my car. :whew:  Why is it such a tricky task?

Lots of scope for personal injury and fuel splashed everywhere.

Which is why they did away with that type of fuel filter housing.

I've been sent the wrong filter anyway...  :wall:

Today isn't my day *Goes back to bed*

TPS gave me three different ones for my A3 and said bring back for a refund the two that don't fit.

After that I kept the lid with the part number on - it is still stapled to a shelf in my garage.

It's the same for all the brands, ETKA doesn't know when what filter housings changed.
