VRS - OEM Bluetooth With Columbus

Featured Replies

Have done a quick search to no avail.

I am looking at putting an OEM bluetooth kit into a 13 reg Fabia VRS which will have a Columbus fitted.

Looking on carsystem.pl it is a little confusing to say the least to find what will work.

I am presuming that either of these will work?

If they will what are the differences between them?

Any responses appreciated!

So at the very least, the first supports RSAP, the second doesn't - you can tell by the inclusion of the GSM antenna (the long black flat looking piece in the bottom left of the picture.

If you're phone doesn;t support RSAP (and i think most don't - it was a Noika thing that allows the car kit to "clone" the sim and make calls from the car kit, thus saving the battery on the phone, giving better reception etc) then you won't benefit.

That said, have you actually messaged these guys? I bought my car kit from them and just asked them what would work with the car i had. they sent me the link, i purchased and it arrived a short time later (super quick considering it came from poland), i fitted and it worked.

I felt atleast i had some come back if what they told me to get didn;t work....

Does the first one allow non RSAP too?

RSAP is on nearly every phone apart from the iPhone and some blackberries by the way

I will drop them a message then and see what they say - good to hear off someone who has used the company though.

Thanks.

I don't know if the first allows non-rsap but it probably does. A while back, the skoda modules only supported rsap, but i think that alot of people had non rsap phones and things changed so they supported both. Also, note that is says "reads texts in rsap mode only" - this implies theres a non rsap mode (HFP)

HfP, that's what I was looking for. I've sent them a mail anyway as I have the rsap only one in my octavia and want to upgrade it.
