Replacing abs sensor plug

Featured Replies

Can you replace the abs sensor plug near the hub? The little clip on mine has broken :'(

Well, all you need to do is get a magnifying glass and find the connector housing VAG part number, then get your local VAG parts place to order one in. Once you get it, and confirm it is the correct part, carefully break up the original connector so that you can crack open the inner parts to get the plug/socket pins out intact - noting first which goes into which hole in the new connector housing. Then carefully but firmly fit the pins into the new connector housing - then check that they are locked in. You might have to mess about with a "locking horse shoe shaped element".

Or, get hold of some cable ties and secure the original mating parts together that way - and save all the aggro involved with replacing the connector body - maybe not so elegant but if done correctly just as effective.
