Hi All,

 

In laws have a Fabia ii (2009) that has projector headlights.

Is there anything to adjust the alignment for driving on the continent in France and Belgium?

 

They've bought those stickers to chuck on the front of the headlights, but I wondered if there was a proper manufacturers way to do it.

They leave tomorrow so, er, good to know now !

Don't quote me on this but im sure there is an adjustment you can make to the rear of the unit to change the direction of light. Havnt got my manual on me but hopefully someone who has will be along soon

realised the manual was in the car.... it says to use the stickers :(

Ah well I dont know where ive read the adjustment thing from. Least you know now!

Our Monte has a little tiny pressed metal leaver next to the DE module within the light unit, which apears to adjust the beam. This worked for our trip to Europe, although the light level wasn't quite on par with the normal setting but we still managed to drive through the unlit country roads of Eastern France.

Yes there is a lever on the projector headlights - pull the rubber cap off and feel for it just next to the bulb casing. A bit fiddly, but much quicker, easier and less messy than a sticker on the front. It does reduce the light output a bit but then so does a sticker. Search in the forum and you'll find some pictures

The stickers make a real mess of the light lenses. I just use black tape to mask off the beam seems to work fine for me enjoy the trip
