Damaged rubber boot that holds wiring between the door and sill

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Noticed last night that the rubber boot between the door and the body that carries the wiring is damaged. It looks like the clip at the top is broken and not staying in securely. The boot looks like it mates again as the door closes as it is being compressed.

How difficult would it be to change and how much roughly would the part be? And what do you actually call it!

Can't imagine the cost would be that expensive, less than £5 but fitting could be complicated, as you'd probably need to disconnect the siring to get the gaiter over the end and fit?

Does it look something like this:

Seems I was being a bit dim. When I went and looked today I noticed the clip was fine, I was being a girl putting it back. Its back on properly now :-)
