Has anyone changed the skoda tailgate badges to match the new face lift models?

 

IE. The new FL models have "SKODA"  left and "SUPERB" right in upper case rather than "tdi" left and "superb" right on old model.

 

The badge letters on the FL in the show room look a lot cleaner in upper case rather than lower case!!!

 

How do you safely remove the old badges? Is it dental floss slowly sawing behind badge so as not to damage paint work?

 

Are they just stuck on or do they have location pins on the back.

Have already changed all the logo emblems on my car to the FL skoda image including the columbus unit except the one on the steering wheel which i know can not be removed.

 

Has anyone found a sticker to place over the top with the new logo?

Also the rear LED tail lights on the combi look great but wondered if they will be a straight swap with skoda recoding them using skoda led lights? Any thoughts.

 

 

 

Not trying to copy the new FL as i do not like the new front end in the showroom as all the FL skodas now look the same from the front just pick your size small medium or large!!!!!!!  so prefer my current the old shape superb II updating just the badges and led bulbs.

 

So will not be buying the FL but will wait for the Superb III before i change but think the badges and rear led lights would look good on my current car.

Yes, removal of the old badges is exactly as you describe. It helps if you can warm the glue up a little using the wifes hairdryer!

 

The new badges come supplied on a special backing card that allows all the letters to be applied together so they are all correctly spaced and inline similar to this...

Yes, but you need to recode the CANBUS. See the thread detailed below as I am in the exact same position - but on the twindoor.

 

Another member has already fitted the LED FL combi tail lights to a pre-FL Superb, see post #147...

Have my new SUPERB badge for tailgate but it appears that the new SKODA badges are on back orders!!!  Assume due to lots of orders as others also update their badges?

 

New badge letter face does look a lot better in Capitals
