removing wheel bolt caps

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

on my mk 1 VRS, the little plastic caps that cover the wheel bolts are areal pain to remove using the tool they provide -

anyone else noticed this or have something they ude to remove them thats better?

Cheers

Chris

I have a proper tool to remove them.

That or snap on pointy pliers get them off no problem

Should be a u shaped plastic puller, kinda basic tweezers.

If you have a silver ring pull type effort you have the wrong one.

should be this

$(KGrHqF,!qsFF71S+iH,BRgCbJNh(Q~~60_35.J

find the tool does the job. do have the occasional sticky cover but i think i've got some wonky bolts heads as the covers can be as difficult to get on as off

yeah thats right, its a a single ring pull type thing, all it does is scratches the wheels!

Thats because thats the tool for centre caps not nut covers.

I always though that was a tool for removing the fog light surround to attach the Tow Hook and for removing wheel trims. That's what I use it for anyway. I never thought it would be for the center caps.

I know slightly off-topic, but has anyone go the screwdriver that goes with the spare wheel tools?
