leather interior..

Featured Replies

i've been looking about for a few weeks now for leather interior, preferably something that can basically bolt straight in.. heard the leathers from a mk3 are an easy fit but i'm still unsure..

From a MK3 what?

Golf?

Polo? Ibiza? Mondeo? A3? Cortina? Vectra?

missed the 'golf' out their haha my bad!

In short a bolt in solution in leather will be mucho dinero.

You'd need to get something out of a new shape Ibiza/polo/Fabia/A1 as I dont't think any previous shape models got leather as standard, meaning it'll have been a super expensive super rare option (like leather in a Fabia)

Swapping front seat foam/leather and seat backs from something larger mk4 golf, Octavia, S3 etc is a simple job.

As proven by my own Recaros and the set of 3 or 4 sets of Octavia VRs half leathers now fitted in Fabias.

The rears will then need some "adjustment" at an upholstery to be made to fit on the Fabia metal work or you can go down the more tricky route of metal work modifications to either seats or car body to "make" the larger stuff fit.

quite fancy a1 interior, seen it reasonably cheap on ebay and gumtree etc..

Also you can get your seats retrimmed but think it's £800+ depending on what you want

was looking at it, got a price of 1400 for the seats and door cards to be done in leather! saying that the company are awsome

Random related question. How much do OEM heated non-SE leathers go for these days? Same as SE ones but with green stitching, red piping and vRS logos in 'em.

Around £400 - £500. If your thinking of selling - message me :)

Vultures circling already. Kidding ofc  .

Been having tempting thoughts of a 1.8T Polo. By my reckoning I'd get more selling the seats and car separate, would need a standard interior though. Probably wouldn't be until nearer Christmas or so though.

Haha you don't know how many hours I've trawled the Internet time after time for a leather interior.

I have standard seats to swap with you also ;)

That sounds like a good idea ;) I'd like some nice wheels too but seats and turbo first!

I used to do that for my Mk2 until a set of Ibiza FR leather came up on ebay for £450 - I was well chuffed :)
