Hello all

I need some help with an ongoing problem with my 5 yr old Octavia 1.9TDI.

The problem is that every couple of weeks when I turn on the engine the car idles ok but when I put it into 1st gear and attempt to take off there is no acceleration from the engine. I can put the pedal to the floor and there is still no change. The car will drive but only at approx 5mph. I brought the car to the garage and they said that a temp sensor and the throttle needed to be changed. This was done and the car seemed to be fine, after another 2 weeks the problem came back. The garage cannot find a fault on the computer but the problem still exists.

Has anyone out there experienced the same problem.

Only advice i can offer is to do a search on the Seatcupra.net site. They have a lot more members and someone will more than likely have had the same problem with a Leon or Toledo.

If you can't find a similar thread, just register, and ask the same question there. They are a very helpful bunch.
