Nefmoto DIY remap

Recommended Posts

Only on the Bosch EDC ecu's. Not had time to look in to Bosch ME but think Siemens (diesels) will be next for me.

If you willing to spend the time, ALOT of time reading, reading and more reading and you have a good understanding on how the engine works along with the electrical systems then its really good fun. I don't regret it one bit. Now I can tweak my map whenever I want. Plus you'll be amazing at the lack of quality of some remaps from so called "pro's".

Basically I read my MAP which is standard. I've also read a tuned MAP from a friends car. He bought the car last week and the previous owner said it was mapped by a friend of a friend for £60. Doesn't sound too good, but goes bloody well. The only mods he's got which I haven't is a de-cat and an atmospheric dump valve. I know the de-cat will help with spool up times, but the dump valve should make it run worse in theory. Either way, I can't keep up with him. I've been comparing the two files and haven't found much difference, but tonight I realised I was using the wrong definition file. I still can't find the correct one to use for TunerPro.

I would just use his map, but trying to add AL, NSL, and rear o2 sensor delete first.

I've probably spent the best part of 7 hours reading the Nefmoto forums, but as the definition file was wrong, I've haven't got anywhere really  :wall:

Don't suppose you've got the definition file?

I've never looked at a VAG Map,

But played with my evo8,and had great fun learning..

Just go carefully, and always log the car for pulls/CFs,and keep an eye on the AFR and EGTs..

Sorry if that sounds all to familiar...but I had someone map my LCR and all they did was raise the boost and nothing else....

Great fun watching the EGT protection kicking in on the liquid gauge...not!

Is alright though if you plan on rebuilding your motor...

Is the definition file the xdf file.

I got which seems good for mine. I'm away at the moment. When I get 5 I can send it to you as I have my netbook with me which all my file are on. Pm me an email address and I'll sort it
