Wheel arch carpets. Did you know...

Featured Replies

The carpet pieces are not fitted to the wheel arches on later yetis.

BUT...

If you are changing from a yeti that does have them, they can be removed easily leaving very little adhesive residue, which rubs off with your fingers, and can be stuck in place on the wheel arches of new yeti without any new adhesive?

Neither did I, until I tried it.

Start peeling them off from the bottom corner nearest the rear seats and peel the carpet back on itself slowly keeping the folding edge as straight as possible to prevent stretching.

If you need to store them until they can be fitted to the new car, they can be laid gently, glue side down, on a thick bin bag to keep dirt off the sticky stuff.

Refitting is even easier. Take the boot carpet out, lay the bottom edge of the arch carpet against the lip at the bottom of they arch and press home, working upwards.

Job's a goodun. :)
