MFD problems with Bluetooth Phone

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I seem to experiencing a few issues with the MFD in my parents Yeti which is limited to the phone display only.

In all other MFD modes, everything is operating as normal and all menus are selectable using the steering wheel controls.

However, when I connect my phone via Bluetooth and I set the MFD to phone mode, the selector dial stops working on the steering wheel! I cannot scroll or select menu options such as the phonebook. The second I switch back to another MFD mode (this is the only menu that the selector on the steering wheel works on), everything returns to normal!

The phonebook.etc are working fine when accessed via our Amundsen+ so it seems the problem is limited to the MFD/Steering wheel controls.

Any ideas?

Ta

Anyone?

does it work if you use the radio screen?.....just trying to diagnose first

Yes, it is only the phone mode of the mfd which is effected.

Delete the phone and re pair it. Or try another phone

Perhaps repost this in the ICE section as there or more cars than just the Yeti that use this radio.

Thanks for the advice, I've spent the past few days fiddling and deleting phones from the Bluetooth and have found an answer...

The MFD phone menu will only work if the Amundsen head unit is turned on! However voice control and receiving calls works with the head unit turned off.

It seems like a very strange feature, surely you shouldn't be able to access the phone menu on the MFD at all if the head unit is off just like the nav and audio displays?
