Got an error code p0203 - cylinder 3 - injector circuit open

Anyome had this? Any common issues? Hoping its not an injector as theyve just been replaced :/

Possible injector loom fault, quite common I'm afraid.

Ahhh bugger. Least it sounds a simple fix. Would this not affect all injectors? How would it just suddenly go?

Tends to be one injector first, could be the connection is stressed for some reason.  Best order a new loom, bit fiddly to swap but better than replacing injectors....

I had a simular fault after going down to 2 cylinders on the M4 last September :o

Got the AA out, first thing he checked was the loom connection, cleaned it up and its been fine since :)

where it connects to the injector?

Yeah - but the looms are a weak point for these engines, but when the corrode/break, it doesn't usually cause catastrophic symptoms, just poor running/idle.  You might even find the loom is OK and just needs wiggling / seating back on the injector itself.  You know which injector is dodgy so you could lift the cam cover and take a look at the wiring connection to the injector unit.

Just had the cover off. Cleaned the connection up. Made sure it was all seated properly. No avail. Loom must be knackered :'( new one tomorrow. Do vw keep these in stock normally?
