HI, I'm Ian, just joined the site after buying a 2003 Octavia hatch 1.9 tdi (90 bhp).  I have a few problems with the car and would appreciate any advice.

 

 

Front wipers only work intermittently in the fastest speed, not sure if this will be a electrical issue or linkage?

 

 

Brakes judder, I believe the front discs may be worn, anyone had similar issues?

 

 

OSR door central locking doesn't work, anything I can check to get to the root cause?

 

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Welcome.

Front wipers could simply be down to the switch contacts being dirty or worn.

Juddering could be worn or poorly fitted discs.

Door lock could be a broken wire in the rubber tube you can see by the hinges when door is open.

Best bet is to find a local member with VCDS and get your car scanned. This will cost beer and will probably identify the faults.
