ive just recently bought another skoda octavia 4x4 2006 and have noticed the aircon isnt working, no cold air other symtoms are no fans in engine bay come on with coldest setting and going through the climatronic settings to find compressers speed its also saying Zero, so my question is how to you get this to work? another thing i also noticed there is no pressure in the system, willl the system switch off if there is no gas in it? would a simple regass switch it back on or is there somthing more serious going on here??thanks in advance Stevie

Aircon will be disabled if the gas pressure is "very low". That said, we don't know if this was natural leakage or an actual system leak, and whether or not a plain regas will work depends on that. The cheapest way of finding out is probably KwikFit, since if they can't get a drop in output air temperature they don't charge.
